Automatic Pairing

Few users know of Automatic Pairing. Even fewer understand it. The secret is, MMF2 automatically matches instances of two different object types according to the order in which they were created.

Consider the following event for example:
Now, say that you have you have 4 different Monkey objects and 4 different Banana objects. MMF2 will automatically pair them as follows:

Banana #1 with Monkey #1
Banana #2 with Monkey #2
Banana #3 with Monkey #3
Banana #4 with Monkey #4

But, what happens if we have 4 different Monkey objects and only 3 different Banana objects. Simple, Monkey #4 simply doesn't get a Banana. How very unfortunate for him.

Banana #1 with Monkey #1
Banana #2 with Monkey #2
Banana #3 with Monkey #3

Ok, but what if this time we have 5 Banana objects and only 4 Monkey objects. Once again, it is simple, Monkey #4 gets two Bananas. Oh how happy he will be! However, they will be positioned on top of each other so it will appear as if he only got 1.

Banana #1 with Monkey #1
Banana #2 with Monkey #2
Banana #3 with Monkey #3
Banana #4 with Monkey #4
Banana #5 with Monkey #4

So there you have it. MMF2 will automatically pair instances of two different object types according to the order in which they were created.

Until next time, my friend.
